Thank you for your comment. IR is facinating and I had no idea of what it would look like upside down.

This was made at a Pacfic Ocean site at low tide. Point Lobos. Colors were there and enhanced in PS.
Thank you for your comments.

There were about a hundred small dogs at the small dog section of the local dog park. A joyful memorable event. Wonderful creatures.
Thanks for your comments. I love my dogs.

Thank you for your comments. This was taken some years ago on the pier at Brighten England. I like the hidden look on her face, like the madonnas smile. What is she thinking this old lady in her new raincoat.
Interseting suggestion to desaturate the other chairs. I dont think they get in the way being dark red? I do like the white window and window pane. I'll think about it.

Hi mike,
I think I know this hole. Tough to do this and keep sharpness throughout especially with a point and shoot camera. Possible with a SLR on a tripod at f20-30 focusing on the near third. The overall image is soft without a strong point of interest. I prefer not using a square format for a landscape. Keep the height the same and try stretching the width in PS Image size and use highlight shadow on the dark cave to get a hint of detail. Try using a ND filter, get the cave edges sharp with f22 which means using a slow shutter speed which would show motion in the water. (I am full of ideas this morning)
I like the sandstone. Looks like Pebble. The light touch is pleasing although I would have one spot with some added contrast to make it sing. Have fun.

Love the LC-1. Yes Pt Lobos, was there last Monday as usual. Image is sharp on my print. Didn't oversharpen for email. I see my kelp has made you aware of the world of kelp. Posted two more Lobos shots this morning. Mostly making and selling (?) prints at my store and one gallery. Reviews are encouraging.

Interesting combination of image and words. I miss the connection between the image and female. ??
My preference in blurred images is to have a small area in focus for me to go to. I miss it here.
Image would be a good backround to blend with a nude.

Thanks for your comment. I relooked at it. I know, it's the empty look! Isn't less supposed to be more? lol
My work usually has a lot of information (too much?) in the images. The clouds arrived that day after a Summer of clear skys, they were irresistibly beautiful.

I don't remember this rock. Is it Little Pebble? How do you cook a fish like that and where did it get those big blue eyes?

thank you for your kind comments. Sitting on a low tide rock with the tide coming in quickly I made the exposure using a monopod (I think about 1/30). With a tinge of fear I retreated to the beach without trying other exposures. For the movement of the water I think it worked.

Kelli, Thank you for your inciteful and poetic comments. They helped me see this image from a different perspective and gave it a new appreciation. Part of the enjoyment of creating imagery is learning what it brings up in the minds imagination of others. Thank you.

Beautiful country. I think the image would be stronger if you:
-cropped some off the top so the horizon is not as close to the middle of the photo
-removed the pink corner on the right. rubber stamp it
-rubber stamp the pink in the middle bottom
-I'm not sure about this- the bushes on the right look like the are oversharpened.
Please excuse me for being so picky.

Don,
Thank you for your kind comments regarding my Kelp series. Not many on usefilm view or comment on these images. Here at home I've made a small book of prints ,"The Book of Kelp", and it's received excellent reviews. I am trying usefilm for the second time to see if I belong here so thanks for looking and understanding what I do.

Cari lovely lighting and composition.
About the water droplets. Here I think less would be more. For me the image is strong enough without them but if there has to be water drops just a few would please me more not competing with the flower.
By the way have you tried submerging the flower in water either part of the way of all the way. I;ve seen this done very effectively in a glass dish.

Powerful presentation enhances highly saturated colors. However I am not sure about the inner yellow border, it distracts me from the image. I would have to see the photo without it.

Wonderful color and composition, Lori.
The G2 is sensitive to IR. Use a Hoya R72 filter. Expect longer than usual exposures. I owned a G2 and produced many IR images. Bright sun on green works well. My G5 can't see IR if it's life depended on it. But my Minolta D1 loves IR. Later models do not.
