Whatever did you do to get this shot!? It appears that you got down below the level of the pig, unless he was on a hill right above you. Fantastic perspective that captured wonderful detail in his whiskers and a connection with his eye(s). It always pulls on my heartstrings when I see an image such as this and think about the fact that I eat these intelligent creatures. This one has such a sweetness of expression. The blur in the trees contrasts nicely with the portrait stillness of the pig. How did you accomplish that?

One might not expect a simple closeup to be dramatic, but this is! The details in his skin and the expression in his eyes make a statement about a challenging life. Your description persuades my thinking some, but it is there nonetheless. Congratulations on the award. It is nice to see you. Antonia
