This is an amazingly English looking building. Perhaps because of its stone construction. But I guess it dates back quite a way.

Beautifully taken, glad you shared it with us.

Yes there is blue cast. It was probably the way I set the camera but I sort of like the Blue cast. Because it really was cold!!!

Terry, an excellent composition, supurbly sharp, and nicely exposed. You have made the most of your supurb equipment. Perfect.

This is a wonderful manipulation! Supurb job in giving this work depth and realism. It is so belivable. This image really makes you think twice and then grin. Invasion of the light houses. Very uniqe original work!

Interesting work, Terry. Might be more effective with fewer lighthouses.

Such a beautiful ship. The ole 3 mast'ers like that are something else. Do you have any more that show the entire ship?

Yep, it's always a juggling act. Not only do personal tastes affect opinions, but there are also all the monitor variables on which the images are being viewed. Makes it all very interesting--and occasionally frustrating--I guess.

George,
Thanks. No the shadow in the foreground is not mine, there was some trees etc. behind me. I was sitting down on the walk to take the picture. As for the intensity of the colors, I did have it more subdued but in another forum thay complained it was to dull. Go figure. So I change towards to brighter as I sometimes do it is sort of a style I am trying to develop.
Thanks again for your input it is appreciated.

A very nice scene. I especially like the shadow (yours?) in the foreground. I do agree with José, however. The saturation and contrast are so intense that the effect is almost surreal.

Leigh Ann,
Yes the lighthouse is open. This time of year it's rather cold and windy, take plenty of lens cleaning paper. They did not charge me to get in the day I went probably because the season is over. There are wild deer, Fox etc. running around in the brush. Take good walking shoes. The walk in is a little over 3/4 of a mile just to the Lighthouse not including anywhere else. There is a place on the beach that would make a good photo. I did not think about it till after I left but there are signs that say "Clothing Required Between Signs".
I took your pic of the light house and worked on it in PS CS. I straightened it did of few other things and added a blu sky.
Thanks,
T
