Hi Jim

It's just the colour information extracted from the image and shifted horizontally. I think there are several filter/plugins out there that will do it.

Thanks for the interest
Kim.

Like this one a lot. Great pose. The later shot is also good, classic fashion shot.

Nice James, very nice, and since I was away the day they added "don't touch the frame" to the rules, I say you haven't cropped tight enough at her head, cut it half way down to her ear. Legs are perfect.

Hi Carlos

Yes of course. The orchid is a small bog (fen) plant found on the Bruce Peninsula here in Ontario, and the model was shot in the studio.

Hi Tanveer

The model is standing directly in front of a 3x4 foot softbox and the only fill, as far as I remember, was what bounced off of me. Now seeing as I'm pretty wide, if I was wearing a light shirt, it's quite a lot of fill. ;-)

thanks to all for your comments.

Hi Jaques

I'll check out a tighter crop, the outfit was supposed to give the idea of ascending into the sky from the earth.

Actually these shots didn't get used in the story, which is in the just published edition of 180 for August at http://180degreeimaging.com/180mag/

Take care
Kim.

Hi Sirena

Yeah I looked at the skin but you know, I LIKE skin and believe it or not, it's coming back in fashion. People are getting digital fatigue and the plastic skin look is well and truly on the way out, Barbie-face is now "old-school". I did do a fair bit of cleanup but I'm not happy about the smile lines just behind your mouth. Mind you I also sharpened the hell out of this file, I can't believe how good the quality of this file is compared to the other camera.

If this one gets published it will be cleaned up further when I can properly see my monitor.

Looks pretty good for 15, the glasses were to cover up the crow's feet on the old girl? ;-)

Love it.

LCD stopped working Paul, managed to finish that session with a video out and TV monitor but what a pain.

Yeah, I think you might be right, the old one had its LCD go wonky and I would have had the new xt by now except that Canon ticked me off by changing the battery and grip size.

Mind you I've had some fun with the point and shoot the last couple of days playing with the hot lights.

Hi Johan

Different lighting on today's post, in this one I was going for a vintage feel, but I think it works better in black and white, I've included one here in BW.
