The timing of this post is extraordinary. I have been gone so long. And I return just to "peek" at my old friends...... and I find your friend in need..... Yes, Spidey. Yes Rina. I will help. Take my hand....we'll wander on up to the Tiki bar and wash down some of that grit with a few frosty ones.
So nice to see your great eye, and sharp wit still forging ahead! Miss you...

Hi Jeanette!
Been gone a long time, but checked in and saw this.... I cannot resist commenting on the serenity and beauty of this shot. It makes me feel relaxed on a day that I am stressed. It makes me smile on a day that I have not. I want you to know that your creativity is soft and warm, yet stunning. Hope all is well....

Awesome. You always pay such fitting tributes to the locations/buildings that you photograph. I am so impressed with the respect that you offer, and the interesting explainations that you give us. I see wisdom in your face, and am not surprised. I see a smirk, smart-alec grin just beneath the serious exterior, and I'm so very pleased by that! This is a wonderfully introspective glimpse, Mr. Photographer.

Chuck, I haven't been on UF much in the past several months, but I must tell you that your comments have always meant a lot to me. I admire your work, and find your comments to always be sincere, and I appreciate that very much! Thank you, my friend.

Love the tones, love the fact that you can see the bottom of the water. There's something about that that makes the whole image feel more "revealing", if that makes any sense. Your reflection pictures always feel like there is a message, and I enjoy the melancholy air about them. Wonderful work, as always, Karen!

This should be getting bombarded! Gayle, this is a gorgeous example of how to use DOF effectively. The grain adds a nice touch in B/W, and the way that the flower floats in from the RH side, and is focused, against an unfocused element in the background, is brilliant! The composition is without air, without sunlight, without wind, without sound.... and yet manages to stand on its own, on the merits of beauty. FAVORITES....

I thought it was blurry because of my Jack Daniels & Coke. However I must say.... even a guy throwin back a Jack & Coke can tell an awesome shot when he sees one. You continue to set the mark for geometric shapes, patterns, and spatial elements, in general... Your work, Jeanette, is the stuff of textbooks!

Thilo,
Like so many religious artifacts and symbols, there is a very "edgy" feel to this. The fisheye adds such a dramatic feel, and your chosen shooting angle is fantastic! Great work, as usual... ...Brad

You have managed to make isolation and desolation quite pleasing to the eye! Says a lot about the talent behind the lens..

You get around, Hugo! It's impossible to overlook the comparison between the modern structures, and natures creation! Both impressive, yet no sense of competition. That says something for the architects, or perhaps more about your chosen location. Simply a fantastic perspective, and brought to life so vividly with stunning color! Your offerings are consistently top-shelf, it's always a real treat to view them!

This has such an oil painting quality to it... Beautiful hushed colors and mood, contrasting with the graceful strength of the horse. Really nice job, Ursula!

Imposing and Inspiring.
I am quite surprised at the DOF, at F9! I would have guessed that you had it closed down much more. The lines and patterns move so naturally and gracefully from foreground to afar... wonderfully composed, Hugo..! ..Brad
