It is rare that I see two colors work so well together.. This shot feels very personal, and has a very ominous atmosphere. Morph.. morph.. to freedom.

Well, my friend.. being a lifelong, pinstripe bleeding Yankee, I would have had a hard time stomaching this in person! However, I must admit that it is both an touching and unique composition. It is topical, with a brilliant aroma of romance and love-for-team. You must be basking in your well deserved glory! This is a very cool shot, and the only criticism I would lend is that I would like to see these two Tiger-lovers stand out a bit more, contrast-wise. (yeah, a Yankee WOULD find something to bitc_ about, wouldn't he..). Great stuff, Michael.. ~Brad

There is always a very physical aspect to your shots, Hugo. Regardless of the subject...it could be an auto, an appliance, a mountain, cloud, or cow: your subject puts my mind in a calm, introspective place where I can gauge their density, as though I'm tapping my fingernail on their surface.. Thanks for giving that to me. ~Brad

Holy _ _ _ _, Jude! Now I must lumber over to a larger space, where my swelled head will fit.... To call myself "flattered" would be an understatement; it is ENTIRELY gratifying to hear you express those feelings. I enjoy letting my mind seep through the cracks as much as you enjoy intercepting it. I'm glad that you seek the dark, curious spaces in our world... it's fun hanging out with you, there!

While I am somewhat distracted by the amount of glare/reflection, I am drawn to the "natural" pattern that is shed on this ladder without thought or intent... Sometimes I think that random, natural patterns offer more to the imagination than conceived ideas. More impressive is your ability to see what few others do. I admire your drive to "find" objects that possess intriguing color, patterns, and textures. I've missed your work...... ~Brad

Michael, I have been very "hit and miss" with UF the past many months. I am attending a huge festival in Fells Point (historic Baltimore waterfront) in two weeks, and I will exhibit my work for the first time. I'm hoping that there are others who appreciate the darker side of light. You've always been so supportive, and your comments are insightful and thoughtful. I can honestly tell you that your words, and those of everyone else who take the time... inspire me to share my vision. Without the insightful feedback, it would never occur to me that anyone would find it interesting. I'm very thankful to you for your interest and kind words.
