Paul,
This is an amazing study in lines and curves.. Those things for me, say a lot about the photographer. You have great recognition of detail, and very strong compositional skills. Those traits usually cannot be taught.

I love the colors and strong background.. not in love with the hard shadow on RH side. Excellent choice of colors...

Your conscious effort to add the angular background is awesome. You have a wonderful eye for the key elements of a great shot.

I am intrigued by this photo, Zelda. Although the rose offers delicacy and tenderness, there are some gritty details that come through. The hard edges and grainy details give this shot a fresh twist to a "classic" rose composition. That is true artistry!

You have a great understanding of balance, light, and overall composition. A subject so simple can rarely leave an impression, but you have done so effectively and with apparent ease. Bravo!

Nicely spatial balance, especially considering that you took it from a car! I think I would find it more effective in B&W, but then, the slight blue hues are interesting. This is a bold, effective shot.

Very effective "split"... the horizontal parting is just off center, lending a nice balance to a beautiful shot. Well done, Jorge!

It's hard to upstage the broccoli, but your background and the "soil" are just outstanding! Well thought out, and a really pleasing photo!

The rich colors are captured because you shot at the right time.. a well planned photo. The simplicity, alignment, and rich tones allow a simple composition to stand on it's own. Well done, Ali!

Roger, the image is a great example of the rich detail that B&W provides. The array of sticks lends really nice geometry to this shot as well... very nice!

It's hard to believe that you took this through glass! The lighting is perfect, and the line pattern behind the mannequin add a wonderful geometric feel. This is composed perfectly, my friend... bravo!

I'm not sure if the pole in the RH side distracts me, or adds balance to the shot... The scene itself is beautiful, and has your thumbprint all over it. It could be a jigsaw puzzle... excellent work as always!

Deliscious... as usual. Your vision may be considered "dark", as I have detected by comments on many of your photo's, but I consider it "rich". You have a wonderful talent for bringing "the way that you see things" to fruition. I appreciate your previous explanation to me about your post-processing. I agree that you are using tools (like any other artist) to create your vision. Your work is amazing.

Looks like rust coming through the paint of a dented metal object... it takes a creative imagination to "see" a shot like this. We all walk by things like this every day, but until you stretch out your mind you won't see these shots. Well done Sylvia!

James, your work is incredible. So dramatic, so beautiful. It tugs at all of my senses. I would love to know more about how much (if any) digital editing you do (and please.. that is not meant to be critical. I consider that process to be creative and artistic.) Your methods, your eye, and your imagination are all operating at a very high level. Bravo.

This is a sensational shot. The leaf has adopted the texture of the pavement, through time, without choice. It is a great study in texture and color. Nice work Fabio!

Michelle, you have a wonderful ability to bring a scene together spatially. This brings everything within the shot to your eye in a focused, comfortable way. I wonder if that comes naturally to you, or do you put a lot of thought into every shot? Kudo's to you!

Wow. James, you captured it all here... the drama of the impending storm, closing in on the stark, gritty foreground. I can practically smell the soil, the musky rocks, and the cold air. You have composed everything very skillfully, and given us a real beauty. Well deserved honors!
