I like both versions of this photo, but this one wins. For me, the added texture, shading, cracks, and border adds more interest. I find myself exploring not just the roots and shape of the bottle, but the play of color and texture. Cheers.

Thank you the comments...any suggestions are very welcome. I shoot this photo at ISO 800 because I didn't want a flash picture. And I handheld the camera, so increasing the f-stop would decrease the shutter speed, and likely increase the chance of blurring the picture. But I do see how the depth of field is shallow, something I never acheived with my old small sensor camera.
