Excellent tone and textures Larry! The contrast of the dark and light fits with the theme of the photo. This is a true to life capture of the heart-breaking reality of the street children in Manila. Thanks for sharing it.

Also, thanks for your comments... You'll see El Nido's sun rays soon enough!!! It's beautiful.

Lukasz, I really like this one. The composition is just right, and the color is fitting for the time of day the shot was taken. It definitely has an old-world feel. This photo shows a time when everyone is still asleep and the buildings wait to be filled with people.

Pink!!! Lotta, this one is striking, although I'd like to see it cropped just a little on the top. You have a lot of excellent abstracts in your portfolio and you definitely know how to use DOF to your advantage!! I hope to see more. Thanks also for your kind comments. )

This is excellent!! A bit dark, but creates a certain mood. The composition is good and the lines and textures definitely make this photo. Thanks for sharing!! )

This is an emotive piece Carla. There is a stark contrast between the woman and her baskets with the steel rods and the barren floors around her. Thanks for sharing and thanks for viewing my photographs! )

Hello Emgy,
Once again you've captured something beautiful that any other person would completely miss. I love this one because it seems to have hidden images within it. The color contrast and the textures in this are awesome. Thanks for sharing it!!

Maleonn, your images always amaze me. Always so intense and full of style. Great detail. Your images always make me feel close to your subjects, like looking at your photographs make me feel like I was the photographer. They are personable. Thanks for sharing!!

Excellent composition and lighting!! The only thing that bugs me is the switchplate on the right wall. Other than that, I like everything about it. Thanks for sharing!!

wow, excellent fashion shot, although it doesn't say you intended it to be for fashion. The muted colors and the expression on her face make for an interesting and unique photograph. Lighting and shadows are also great. There's an eerie feeling to this, but also an innocence in Mei's eyes. The glass adds intrigue to the entire composition. Thanks for sharing!! Going into my favorites.

Sangeet, this is an excellent macro, great detail!! So much detail that it makes my skin crawl... I despise mosquitoes, and this photograph makes me hate them even more! You can tell it is morning light that's being used, in a way showing the mosquito getting its breakfast. Sorry to hear about the loss of your blood, but the light through the insect's body to show the brightness of it makes this a unique and rare shot! Thanks for sharing. )

This has got to be the most beautiful piece of art I've seen in awhile. Absolutely perfect in every way. How funny that this was a sunset... I had this idea in my head that that was the moon in the background, but I can see that it is not. Excellent. Congrats! After so many attempts. Thanks for sharing - going into my favorites.

Wow, I really really like the color (or lack of it), the composition, and the sharpness of this photo. The darkened areas around the corners make it seem like this is a still from a film; Something just happened or something will happen and this is the end or the beginning of something big. I can't explain it, but this shot has definitely encouraged me to think. Thanks for sharing it!

Stefan, thank you for your suggestions and comments. I did like the softness of the photo which is why I think I chose to post this one instead of one of the other ones with more contrast, but honestly, I like them both ways. I'll be sure to try using different lighting techniques next time around. My tortoise will more than likely be willing to pose for me again. haha

BTW, she doesn't like the carpet much either, and would rather crawl noisily across the wooden floor!

My goodness, this has got to be one of the coolest shots I've seen yet. ) Going into my favorites. I love the contrast between neon/bright colors against black. Excellent. Don't know what else to say.

Emgy, I tried different things with this one, and I wondered if I should have fiddled with the contrast of the photo. After looking at your version, and the one that I posted, I think that because I chose B&W, it looks better with more contrast, but I guess it depends on the eye of the viewer. THanks for your comments and suggestions! )

As much as I want to say I like everything about this photo, I can't. The idea that you're trying to portray is catchy and certainly something that I think could be worked on. The angle of the shot just seems either a little too straight on or not angled enough for me, making the model's arm and body size look distorted. Maybe if the arm was bent a little, or if the hand was lowered more toward the lower right side of the picture to cover up the extended arm then the arm wouldn't look so distorted. But the lighting I think works. The phrase on the shirt definitely works. And the hand in front of the face is definitely what caught my eye when I glanced at the title of this photo. It's just that arm! ) Anyway, thanks for sharing it!

I like all in your wineglass series, but this one caught my fancy more than the other ones. I feel as if I'm looking at something under a microscope with these... But it's appealing. Not sure why, but thanks for sharing it! )

Wow, Emgy, this is so serene and beautiful. The snow below the tree is untouched (or maybe you made it that way) but either way, it emits a calm and cool feeling. This one's going into my faves too ) Thanks for sharing it!!

Ooh, I like this Mark! Nice colors, and the mood of it is oustanding... Very much in the sense an "artsy" piece, both in the way it is presented, and the message it sends. Going into my favorites... Thanks for sharing! )

oooh... Simple, cold, mysterious. It's a very real shot of something that any viewer could feel like they're a part of, like I'm in the elevator with her. I got chills looking at this. Going into my favorites because of that!! Great job, thanks for sharing ). You've spawned new ideas within me.
