An excellent critque. I see your point on the soft stem and agree!

Lovely subject but I'd like to see a less detailed background. A longer lens would have helped throw that background out of focus faster and made it softer...

A lush scene but not very sharp. Did you use unsharp mask, a tripod?

Just a terrific image. Very moody, unique and appealing. One is drawn to wonder of the stories told here...

How did I miss this one! Fantastic idea! I wish the light was a bit better...it feels a bit contrasty to me. Never the less I'm going to steal this idea for next year!

I guess this fits the old adage of "when you see red, shot it!" This proves why!

Ahhhh much more interesting! The one thing that I'm struggling with here is the amount of the flower that is out of the frame on the right. It's okay to crop but I think it would be stronger if both were or were not... The clarity and color is terrific and this time there seems to be a relationship between the two.

I think it is only uniteresting because the boat is in the middle of the frame. If it were more on left I think it would be stonger.

Okay... I'm on this one! Terrific idea and lovely warm color. I'm just wondering why it's a bit soft in the top left. Seems to me this should be tack sharp all the way through.

I agree the pan is a great format for capturing this type of snap! Good one!

I'm guessing Hand Held at 1/250 and 800 speed film... right?

Hey Roger, Certianly a terrific image and again a good eye for the Pan. I'm only struggling with the bright sky in the top right. I'm wondering if you could have taken a slightly different position and then point the cameara down just a bit to eliminate the sky? While the overcast light is great for the buildings, in my opinion it takes the eye right to that brightness which is not what you want.

Nice creative work here Kim. It does have a glow about it. The black stamen? is bothering me a bit.

I too love the vertical format of the panoramic image. I've enjoyed your portfolio very much. I shoot with the Hassy XPAN and love it. You can see some of my work here and on my site as well. www.barclayphoto.com Last years Smoky Mtn stuff has a lot of vertical xpan images. Enjoy. I look foward to more of your pans!

The tonality of this creates the mood and it is wonderful one at that. Nice Chris.

Hi Kim,

I'd say your on the right track. This is very nice, I wonder what a multi exposure would like like here?

This is a scene where a creative technique might be fun to try. It is a nice image on its own with nice light and three layers etc.. I'm wondering haw a montage would look as well as a multi exposure... I love this kind of stuff and just suggest that you give it a try.

Normally I'm not a fan of "bulls eye" composition but every once in awhile it is the only way and it works quite well. This is a good example of when it works well. The toning and B&W presentation is also very nice. A lovely image.

This really is a terrific and different cat image. The bedspread and it's graphic lines all add to what would normally be just another cute cat picture.
