I was going to ask -- are you from the Eastman-Kodak company, but then I looked at your bio. Guess you know a little about photography then. :-) Nice portfolio.

I like the photo and the expression on your daughter's face. I disagree with the individual who said the focus is bad and the lighting is bad. I think you have captured a nice moment and while a photo of your daughter only might be nice, it wouldn't have the same meaning as both of you being in the frame. Don't take criticisms to heart, some people are too technically oriented and not emotionally touched by photos. I like it.

Can't help liking this one too, althoug I like the first version better. I like the other one because of the way his head is tipped and the expression. This one isn't as engaging as the first, but still a nice portrait.

I don't think it looks over exposed, actually. I like the photo and I like the subject. What an interesting character to shoot. I like the way his head is tilted as if almost in a skeptical manner. I also like the brightness of the photo the way it is taken in the sun. It isn't as if it makes homelessness a good thing, but it doesn't make it as dark and scary as other photos do. It puts a face on the issue, not a feeling of foreboding.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this one. Great angle, but gosh how depressing. poor little thing. I'd like to know how you had the guts, no pun intended, to lay in the road and get this one. I'd be afraid of getting hit. The composition is nice even if the subject is rather depressing. :-)

Oh, meant to add, nice DOF and nice background. THe addition of the table where he is standing is a nice touch. Also like the fact he is doing something. The coloring is very nice and warm

hey there little, guy! is the first thought that came to my mind. Must mean the photo is pretty real to me. Thanks for this one!

This could have been added to the intimate portrait category or listed as a portrait. What a nice expression and what a nice face to photograph. I don't see that the crop is a problem, because it is the cute little face we relly need to look at. Is this a digital shot or was film used? the coloring of the skin is very nice. Thanks for sharing this photo.

I do that too --when I am up late I take photos. My husband "hates" it..sort of because I always takes photos of him. I like this shot though. I like the shadows and the light and the composition.

Wow. Agreed. Do you need a student? I would love to learn how to capture such photos. Gosh, I have so much to learn it is almost overwhelming! I love the shot, really. Great expression and yes, killer eyes as Andrew said.

Chris:
I know what you mean about the jpeg compression. I have the same problem sometimes. It is still a nice photo though. Really.

I really like this photo, but that could be because I am a country girl. May I ask where this was taken? It looks a little like Virgina. The tractor could be a little brighter, but I like the way it stands out against the backdrop of the mountains.

Kinda of makes me wonder what the story is behind this one. :-) Nice photo layout and composition wise -- a little background to explain what she is doing, could be a good addition.

This photo is simply beautiful. The background is perfect, the way we can see the back of her dress and the two girls on either side. It is a very nice photo and I photo I bet the bride loves.

The perspective is very interesting on this photo. I'm not sure I really agree with such a low rating. I think the Depth of Field (from the little I know) is good.

This is a nice photo of a nice looking couple, except there are two distracting items about it -- first the beer sign, which I think drags away from the photo, and second, the rug might make a better background if the photo was cropped in a little better. Maybe...

just an idea.

Great photo. The biker could be a little more in focus, but that is really just being nit-picky. Nice shot, really.

I like the idea for this photo, but I can see why others do not like the way it turned out. I think the sun is casting too much of a shadow on the flowers and taking away from the detail of them, which could add to the photo. The line up of the flowers is well done, but the darkness of them does not add much to the composition and overall image.

K, does anyone else notice how the chick photos always get looked at the most? :-) Seriously, this is a good shot, which is why it has been looked at so many times. I really like the reflection.

No comments on this one either huh? Well, I really like it and the DOF on it. THe expression is a neat one too. The chain in his hand is a little distracting and it is too bad he isn't smiling, but it is still a nice shot.

Cool shot. I wish we could see the bass players face, but then he wouldn't look like he was really into it.

Nice shot....really. Very cool. Can't say anything about the grain because I can't imagine getting this shot without a little grane. Must have been a large lens...oh yes, I see it was. Very cool indeed

I suppose you are right on this point, Alisa. Forgive me for being a little snotty before. Looking at it again, I guess this photo could be somewhat interesting and different. Everyone has a different taste and I understand that. Excuse me for not respecting that.

It is a blur and I'm not sure how it can be anyones pick of the day. Sorry, but I guess I just don't understand some people's idea of art. It looks like the camera was spun around and then called "a good shot" There are good shots on here that get "2's" and then there are shots like this that get "6". I don't understand.

Please excuse me for sounding rude. I didn't mean that this photo was horrible or anything. By no means -- it is just different. It is very interesting and eye-catching. Excuse me for sounding rude.
