I knew him from before he was on CI and he does have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Nice enough guy though.

Hi Ray, 2.8 is the best for sports. It helps to keep the background out of focus so that the players pop out more. It does take some practice getting the DOF in the right place to keep the players sharp. Remember film is cheap (if you still use it) and CF cards are reusable. Just shoot and then when you think you have shot enough, shoot more.

Hi Mika, That is just the way it turned out. She turned a little in the middle of the exposure causing the blur.

yea, i should have spent more time in PS, don't have much time these days for some reason.

Thanks Jon, It has been a while. I had some things to work through, like the basement flood. Lost all my photo gear, but insurance came though like troopers. Hope to start doing more posting.

I quite enjoy them, nd the sport (I've ridden since '91) I would have liked to see this shot from the other side to see the rider face. Look forward to seeing more.

Hmmm, I wonder why no one has commented yet? This is a nice shot. I do find the bright spot next to her nose a little distracting.(on her left) but other than that, it is very good!

I like the image but I think I would like it better if there was some seperation between his body and his shadow. If he was wearing lighter pants it would have worked better in my opinion.
