I see you make good use of the boring times Raymond. This is a really nice image. The tree is remarkable for the way it gracefully spreads out through the whole frame. I do like the way you caught the stars in the sky. My quibble with the image is the noise level in the sky which is noticeable despite the stars. I don't know the Olympus so I don't know how avoidable that is using a slower ISO. Nonetheless, this is really nice.

This is a corker. The sky, the water and the details on the left are nicely composed and the photo just looks good. The clouds though, wow, they really lead the eye to the horizon and make this a beauty.

Yes amazing colour, but also a skillful composition and spot-on exposure. Great textures here as well. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Beautiful! I think the poles add interest to the shot. You captured the perfect proportion of sky to water.

Vincent, I too thought that the upper portion of the picture was tad too bright. There was some fog forming off the water in the distance and I think that may have led to the "lightness". I'll "tweak" it some later on tonight and see if I can clean it up a bit.
Thanks to both you and Sarah for your comments.

I do like the details in the rocks here. However, the rest of the image appears simply too bright. I would take out some density and then re-post. The composition is fine in my opinion. Good eye. (7

Another beauty Raymond. The shadow detail in the rocks is good. As regarding the ND filter, I haven't yet had much use of mine, so I'm by no means experienced in their use, but it looks to me that you've placed it well. I like the water the tone it is.

Great colours, great shot. The poles add an extra dimension, and the ripples they seem to create in the water are neat. Amazing sky. Cheers, Marc

Ray - yea, this is the type of sky I was talking about in my last comment. You've got the color interest here. If there was a little less haze near the horizon I think it would be dead on. Again, that may be personal pref - I tend to like cleaner landscapes unless going for the capture of fog or something like that.

Raymond, I really like the colours in this. The placement of the people is good. I've just taken my first sunset pictures, and found them harder to get right than I thought. You've done a really good job here.

The highlights on the tree are what really add to this image... the sepia was a good choice to accent the lights and the darks...

The earth tones work well as well as the ray of light brom behind the tree. The bench helps us to see the size of this large, stately tree.

This view is of the same Oak Tree as my previous post. In fact, it?s taken from the same photo. My intent was to photograph this large oak tree with the moon behind it. The only problem I encountered was that it was too dark to see through my viewfinder so I pretty much just pointed the camera up at the tree, liked where I saw the moon and hit the timer. This is the original picture taken just so y?all can see it.
Thanks for all your comments

Very nicely done, Raymond. This is well composed as the tree branches both frame the moon and serve to pull the eye through the remainder of the shot. Very nice detail in the tree branches and trunk as well.
