Good old echinacea - sometimes known as purple cone flower (we have some in our garden). You can find the neatest things when you look for them. Well seen.

They are interesting flowers Ryan...always look "droopy"! For another interpretation of this flower you might take a look at Terry Ward's image in sepia. Well seen and captured. Regards--Bill Voizin

Wow, this is a really cool picture ryan. I really like the colors, and the fact that the macaw's eye complements the yellow in the background. Great job.

Great capture Ryan. I love the texture of this piece, it has almost a 3D feel to it. The b&w white really sets a mood that I don’t think color would have been able to achieve. Good call on that. It looks like it could be a thousand years old... and have an amazing tale to tell.

Full of character and a nice alternative composition. Great work! -d

Hey Ryan! I really like this composition. I love the way the shadow and light split the frame. It gives the image a really cool balance. I also like that your shadow doesn’t so much look as though you’re taking the picture. Kind of adds a bit of illusion to it. I find one thing slightly distracting though. That little dark portion in the top left hand corner. It sort of throws the balance off a bit for me. Maybe a little tighter crop on that side? Just a humble suggestion.

It’s a great image, and I never tire of seeing the contract of light and dark. Great capture! -d

I really like this shot. Great composition! The background, depth of field, and the fact that it’s b&w really help draw me in. I don’t know that I would use “uglyfied” to describe what you to this image in PS though! It looks great!

Keep it up man! - d

Splendid! The light on the face recall and harmonize with highlights in the back creating a impressive, mysterious, emotional feeling. Excellent the capture.
Bravo!
