This is one hell of a composition! you have transformed what would be a normal everyday scene into something to look at again and again!

Nice colors. This is doubly interesting 'cause it looks like a reflection in still water. cool...

I think this is a beautiful image...the lighting is great as is the detail in the fur and the catchlights in the eyes. Maybe it could have benefitted from including the whole left paw and cropping to a vertical composition...but this is great just the same.
best regards

You really caught the moment!

you could get rid of what looks like lot of dust specks(from the scanning)
cheers

A small note describing this image(where, when, what etc) would really help understand its significance, especially since you have put it under the journalism category.

Beautiful capture, though i'm not sure about the glow you have added to the edges...i find it way too distracting, perhaps because the image anyway has overall light soft tones.

Thank you for posting this lovely image! Wonderful depth of field and by extension, background blurring, though the levels could have been adjusted to highlight the eye of the sparrow more.
great image nonetheless!

Horses just have the loveliest eyes in the whole world don't they!
Love the way th eye is framed, though it could have done with some burning to reduce the white area.

May not be a good scan but its a great image. The vertical composition really works for this one and the lighting and colors are gorgeous.

Interesting composition and subject.
btw...love tea and your pictures of it...though i'm a through and through Assam man. The Nilgiri stuff is too insipid for my liking.
cheers!

Nice sweeping composition but the sky is hazy and washed out. A uv + Grad ND filter might help next time.

Interesting effect though too many elements in the background clash with the subject. Try the same with the blinds down and its dark outside?
good effort!

Beautiful lighting and warm tone really highlights the lazy elegance of the cat. The green bit(cloth) in the top left corner should have been cropped out. The image also perhaps lacks some sharpness...but lovely anyway!

Nicely timed. I like the way the swans are looking in opposite directions and also the reflections are very nice. Maybe it could benefit with more of the bottom cropped?

Thanks for the comments Matej.
Here is the untouched, uncropped original scan...i didnt like the saturated bluish-magenta tinge to her fur so tried to get rid of it. I have had this printed from the negative and the colors are good there...so i guess this is a scan issue.
let me know what i can do better with it.

Nice profile shot! Nice detail on the head yet with the right softness. The only area not keeping in with the rest of the image is the high contrast between the dark shadow under the ear and the bright white on the back of the neck.
regards
ps...i noticed you used an EOS 10D...if its not too much trouble can you mail me your feedback / experiences with it? I was looking at getting one but its relatively new and still hasnt hit the Indian market!

Very aptly named picture!
Beautiful detail and sharpness, but the background to his left is quite distracting.
I attempted a quick crop and background blur...though i'm not sure i like the crop myself!
Is that a tattoo in his right ear?

Nice one! Your eye for color shows through again on this. I also like the diagonal composition of the background and how it compliments the diagonal (in the opposite direction) formed by the difference in heights of the dogs. The flowers in the foreground are a nice touch.
I have to agree with Toni in that the light seems too harsh making the shadows very dense and too contrasty.
btw...what are they called...your two beauties?
regards
