It most definately a very intersting sight. Great capture and presentation. Isn't is wonderful to be concentrating on a certain shot and then be surprised by something unexpected?

Thanks for the awesome comment John.
the little dot I think is lens flair due to the adapter i use to get my focal length to 210mm.

Absolutely stunning shot, the way the brunches 'frame' the moon in cirqle way is very impressive, and looks fine under the backlight support Mike, excellent... I think you might 'clone' that small spot at the middle top area but not big deal, again your work is fine and worths the excellent rate.
be well!

Proves that a photographer must always be ready, even when just sitting on the front stoop.

Thanks for the great ideas.
I went and looked through the shots that you referred me to! Those are amazing and the way you capture the shots really shows what you were describing to me. Next time I head down that way, i will definitely give it a try!

Hi Mike. You should try doing waterfalls during low light, slow the shutter speed down to less than 1/10 of a second to get a veiled effect on the water. Can look very nice. If you're interested, I have a few photos deeper into my portfolio where I tried this, and on the last or 2nd last page I have a few of a waterfall similar in scope to this one (actually the Detian Waterfall is quite a bit bigger I think).

Waterfalls do indeed make nice subjects. This is one I hadn't heard of before.

Take care ~ James

Interesting work here Mike. This is an aspect of life that few people ever get to see, but one that is infinitely interesting in my opinion. The cell is quite small, no creature comforts. A reality that can be quite harsh.

Warmest regards ~ James

I do like the skin tones better on yours but other areas then blow out.

I ind the image is rather dark and the skin tones are too grey. I took the liberty of making some adjustment to the exposure and here is the result.
