Makes you wish someone else was holding her hand than she herself.
This picture speaks.

what a shot!
the short depth of field works extremely well, and the angle at which you have framed the pic makes the foliage and clouds seem to converge at some point. what is amazing as well is the tonal separation of the leaves in the foreground. did you use a green filter to achieve this? the eye naturally leads to the centre of the picture which again is the result of a perfect composition.

best

Excellent portrait. his hopeless gaze adds a lot more despair to his frail frame.

I agree Avi. I was contemplating on the same. somehow, i dont have the heart to ccrop images shot on film and that too with a fixed focal length lens. so couldnt decide whether to do it or not. but yeah, makes mores sense. thanks

i agree luis.
somehow, heroes like them are getting reduced to mere logos and designs in the name of commerce. after a while, we stop to recognise them as men who made history, but rather as mere brands.

lovely contrast of two different generations. the two women sitting in a relaxed psture whereas the girl standing in a restless one makes this picture compelling. maybe if you would crop the chair on the left, then there would be just one empty chair on the right, which would seem to belong to the girl, making the contrast even stronger.
cheers
