Hi Keith! :)
I shot this with the DS. I'm not used to my KX for such work (yet). I like the KX a lot as the "noise" looks rather more like film grain but the lowest ISO setting is 400. I'm still reading the instruction manual... LOL! The DS is a camera I borrow from time to time. And it does have a 3200 ISO setting.
I'm not really an expert with film... you flatter me.
I find the challenge of "thrash bands" hard work and often rewarding.

Whoever put so much elbow grease into the polishing of this gorgeous car should be commended! Only I don't know who it was since I was passing by a wedding and the car was outside the church, so I snatched the shot as quickly as possible...lol...

Dear Misty!
What a wonderful composition and the colours are breath-taking! I Love the sharp stark blackness of the palms overhanging such a spectacular scene. Wonderful work, and the "noise" is more like film grain to my eye, so it does not bother me at all!

I very much like this street capture.
Perhaps it is mt screen (for how can we know how others see our images via this medium?) but I would have liked it a more with a little added density/saturation. The whites are flaring just a tad.

I am slowly beginning to photograph again, but am not much good these days. "Never say die" has become my motto, however I am rather slow and clumsy with the digital cameras I am using since my old faithful analogs have met with disaster (don't ask!)

Dear Albert!
I was immediately drawn to this image.
Soft, yet gritty and "scratched" or etched. The colours are pleasing and the pose and model enchanting.
I would perhaps like to see the eyes a little "stronger" in this work, but it is not necessary.
I see Shirley's point regarding the crop, but cropped or uncropped, the image stands alone and has great impact.

This kind of photography for me is a huge challenge as I no longer use film and digital cameras (IMHO)are very slow. The camera I use for this work is a borrowed one as I "know" it better than the digital SLR I've purchased. Hopefully when I shoot the next live shows, I will be using my own dig SLR. :)
