Thanks Paul. I did some USM on the eyes and took off a yellow color cast, since he was under kitchen lighting. Being a REALLY white cat it is very hard to get any detail off him.

Thanks for the critique John. The Canon S3 allows some aperture control from 2.8 - 8 . Check the updated info on the photo for the technical details of it.

Very good close up, the details on the bee and the flower are bothly well seen, good job also as a compact camera hasn't very small appertures something needed strongly on macros, so good that point too for S3!

Thank you much for the comments Jan. the photo was resized. but not cropped. I zoomed all the way in. It is approxx 640mm in 35mm terms. She looks at ease, since we just ate a nice seafood lunch...:)
