Thanks for the comment. Actually this is a very old photograph whose negative was scanned to Kodak PhotoCD. Digital image quality is still way, way behind compared to film image quality but nothing beats the convenience of digital. I am afraid there is no turning back for me. =) A little photoshop enhancement produced this photograph.

There is nothing wrong with your lens. Your horizon is tilted because you tried to capture the clouds while keeping the palm trees and buildings perpendicular. This is convergence which happens when your lens (more pronounced with wide lenses) is tilted upwards.

I originally shot this in color negative, had it printed in b&w, scanned the print then manipulated the image in ps using artistic filters, etc. Thanks Stan.
