A great scene and a very nice composition! Near and far, foreground and background, and between them the expression of a face whose mind seems to be outside the frame of DoF.
Theresa, I think that this one would have worked much better if taken with hyperfocus.

Definitely my kind of black and white photo, so I am perhaps a bit too biased towards the dark feel of it that makes the hard neon lights look so shiny! Especially the details of the curtain despite the grain are intriguing!
Since I consider controlled grain to be the non plus ultra in photography, how on earth did you manage to get this very analog feeling with a digital camera? Simply remarkable!

An excellent amount of detail and a very distinct light, Theresa! It is amazing how you combined softness and hard contours on this one! It is winter but the image "feels" warm, the light is diffuse but still there are so strong contrasts!
Very well seen and captured even better!

Many thanks for the reference Theresa- very worthwhile. The pool queue with his sight so poignant. Such a life beautifully written about. Quite agree, some differences can be made even though the world politics beyond us.

Thank you Gayle....I was in WA. in August....part of a 5 state road trip my friend and I went on! I used to live in Oregon and her folks live in Westport. Thank you for your comment...he was just standing there enjoying the sunset!
