Jake, I like this one a lot. I agree with Doyle about using a slow shutter speed. However, under the circumstances of a quick hand held shot, it is great. At first I thought I would have "shopped out" the yield sign. But further examination says no, the sign fits in and adds to the photo. Nice work.:)

Jacob, I am glad you are posting again. I like your presentation of the rose here. It is dramatic in b&w. The dof is good and I like the upper right hand corner of the image that is out of focus. Did you do any sharpening to this?;)

Very well done Jacob. Very good light and exposure, good detail, good sharp focus and very good dof. Very nice dramatic image.
I bought my wife flowers for Valentine's Day and then took them apart to take shots. Maybe next year I should ask her for flowers. :)
