Here's the original photo for whoever is interested.
I know that the original photo is pretty ordinary, but that's intentional.

Hi Paul, I looked at the original which was already a good photo, the retouching in this gives it an edge over the original, making it better suited to a Fashion shot, well done!

Thank you Jacques!
Had a chance to watch the latest Michael Moore installment "SiCKO" last night, very interesting and amusing documentary at times. Makes a few references to the Canadian health system, which is quite similar to the system we have in place here in Australia.
:)
Take care.

Thank you Mitra!
I am a little disappointed with the noise in this pic.
But that's expected at such a high ISO.
Take care.

Thank you so much for commenting Brigitte!

Custom optics .... been playing around with them for a while now.
I modded the crappy kit lens that came with my camera.
Amazing what can be achieved when u start removing crucial daytime lens elements.
Take care.

Hi Clive, I couldn't resist in showing you a veriosn of your colour version that i converted to B&W using a gradient map in Photoshop.
Let me know what you think mate.

Thanks Paul, as of late I have been sort of sidetracked with a very important project of mine, although it is related to photography, it isn't the actual process of taking photos.
I am working on new camera technology, and although I will remain tight lipped about it, I hope to one day reveal my depth of knowledge in the inner workings of cameras.
:)
Maybe one day, everyone from UseFilm will be using my invention!
Take care my friend.

Thanx Paul, this edit in Photoshop almost destroyed my PC, it contained so many hair layers, that it became extremely confusing to work out the layer priority!
If you look closely you can see that i sort of just gave up on it, because i only had a small amount of hair on each side to work with.
This is only a taste of my other staged version which i will share in due time!

Attached is the original unedited image:

Hi Paul, i was not the photographer who originally shot this photo, i did the retouching and backdrop, i make mention of this in the about.
I will find out what lens she used for you ....

She reminds me of Sandra Bullock in the movie 'Miss Congeniality'.
Awesome capture!

BTW, I just bought the same lens.

Thank you so much Ahmed.

I don't have an answer as to why no one commented until you did; but, it may have something to do with my small network of friends within UseFilm.
Strange thing that, photos are deemed popular by the same "friends" of members, rendering the RATING system pointless to the rest of us non brown nosing photographers.
I sometimes wonder if these so called "friends" are secret admirers of the MySpace niche, viewing popularity as the only means of survival.

lol.
:)

take care.
