Thanks Maryanne, I would stay up to do a few shots more, but I was to tired, so went to bed about 11.15,
Total eclipse was at 11.45 in our part of the world.

Thanks Mehul for your visit and comment, I feel very honoured with the 7++++, I'm glad you like it.
You did a nice job by setting all these moonshots in one frame, you show us the follow up of all the different stages from full to total eclipse.
It is a pitty you couldn't do this with a bit more telelens my friend.
What you can try sometime is take a shot of the moon, crop the uppper, lower and sideparts off untill about 750 x 750, the canvas will be cropped, and the moon will apear bigger than the original. If you have one shot of the moon I will try it for you and mail it back if you want.

Really wonderful image, Klaas. As soon as I saw it, I wondered if this was the eclipse from Saturday -- I forgot to watch for it -- and honestly did not consider trying to photograph it. You did a truly wonderful job. Congratulations.

Thanks brother, it maybe is a wonderful birthday present, but I myself don't think that this picture is very special, the quality of the picture could have been a lot better, but this was quickly taken with no flash out of hand with a 70-200 lens, so could have better used a tripod, but I didn't.
I cropped the image to make something out of nothing..... did it work?

Ik wilde boeken, maar bij Nasa zeiden ze dat het 5 miljoen euro per persoon kostte, dan maak ik ze nog maar even van deze kant, kan niets wezen voor die prijs. Bedankt nog voor je lovende woorden.
Als je dat typt, wat ik je vroeg, dan verschijnt er in USE een dubbele punt met een haakje sluiten erachter, dus ben al op de hoogte.
Bedankt in ieder geval voor je tip, ik denk dat zij dat inderdaad wel had geweten.

Me lucky??? finally, in the part were I live it was reasonably clear at that time, were Riny lives it was quite cloudy, so indeed a bit luckier than you, didn't wait till it was totally eclipsed, because I was rather tired. But.... good somg you have instead.
