Excuse me... upon closer examination.... 34 birds. I love this pic for it's geometric strength.

Wow.... 25 birds reinforcing a strong composition of angularity and geometry. Your black and whites are awesome. This one assures us of your strength. I use the word awesome in the dictionary sense. I am envious of the "eye" that captures such strong compositions. Very well seen, very well captured, very well presented. Congratulations!

Thank you for this capture. It is such a delight to the eye that one could almost drown in the intensity of color. The sense of depth is impressive as well. Excellent work!

from strictly a composition point of view, this is a perfect example of balanced critical mass.

From an emotional view, it has everything a great photo is in need of.... a strong impact on the viewer, and that little bit of wonderment that begs for further explaination..... how were the clothes hung up? who did it, as she certainly can't? why is she there? It is almost as if she were hung out in the sun along with the clothing.

An excellent capture.

A very hard to manage scene... sun on winter snow, and yet you have done it, and captured the details of the kite as well. Excellent work!

Stunning graphic work! The patterns generated by the quadrupled image are facinating..... a very unusual graphic image. Well done!

The ONLY thing that convinces me that this may not be a vintage photo.... is the watch! Excellent work! I love the dress, the ornate furniture, the expression, the sepia treatment, the off to the side gaze, the EVERYTHING! Wonderful wonderful wonderful!

The light is perfect. The gaze is classic. The portrait is a work of art, both technically, and aesthetically.

This has all the qualities of a Renaisance painting. Great light, excellent subject, traditional pose, and a well done sense of balance between the darks and light. A rare photo. GOod work!

You have been able to capture depth in a snow environment. It is hard to do and I very much admire this photo. Congratulations on both technical and aesthetic qualities.

Sometimes the image is wonderful in an abstract thumbnail way. And SOMETIMES a greater gift is given when the thumbnail is opened. In this case the reality is greater than the impression, and the reality is a rare capture! Well done and congratulations!

Oh! Would that I have a computer screne as big as what this deserves! It is beautiful, and if all one shot, you have captured a most exquisite moment. Regardless, it is well done. Excellent work.

This capture candle lights evokes a sense of wheels and time.... spinning, spinning.... perhaps to bring something new, different, promising, to correct that which has been muddied up with trivial and uncompromising events. Now that the Second Sunday of Advent is passed, we are nearer to the promise. This capture sends a tingle of anticipation of light, of bright, of ferris wheels and flying saucers laughter and joy...... and fervent prayers for the coming year.

Your work here is exquisite. The 'feel' of softness is a gift to the eye. Then you give us the structure...the trees lean, they touch, they reflect. They make for a complex and perfect composition, as well as a strong and personal emotional response. That is what photographs are supposed to do.... elicit a personal response from somewhere in the visceral region. This one does, and does it well. Congratulations.

The sum of the parts are greater than the whole. An impressive mass of geometry softened by color. A fine example of light, form and mass.

In all things, time alone cannot be replaced.

I think perhaps this man, a man of great capacities for living and great passions for many things, has had time stolen from him. This capture, with such exquisite subtlety and understated regret, depicts time passed, of passion gone wanting, and joy unfullfilled. Such an intimate insight into the man, the capture stands apart as does the man himself, in perfect expression. All photographs, if they are worth the pixels they occupy, will evoke a strong emotion. This one does. This one shines as a fine example of a photograph being more than the sum of it's parts. Congratulations on this most excellent depiction of a man who has lived up to all the expectations and responsibilities of life, but in doing so, has had his passions for living diluted... within himself, but unexperienced.
Excellent work.

What the eye sees, the soul embellishes. And as aa result we are sometimes given a gift..... such as this image.

How wonderful that this woman has a map of all her experiences, her joys and her heartaches on her face. I look forward to a time when I have such visible character, and such dignity, and strength to present to the world.

The photographer has captured an exquisite portrait..... with great technical expertise... with wonderful shadows.... contrasting highlights that define the image, and make it all the more delightful.

This photographer once again exhibits a sense of artistry that goes far beyond a mere replica of what the eye can see and the camera can record.

Well seen, well captured. It seems the people are as the rocks upon which they stand, strong and residulent.... resistant to the ever-pounding surf. The nearness of tonal ranges in sea and sky add to the feel of strength, of permanance.

The apparent simplicity belies the complex variety of blues (Cobalt,Prussian, Antwerp, Cerulean), and greens (Viridian, Terre Verte,Windsor and Oxide of Chromium) which becomes noticeable, and most intense, upon enlargement. The perspective is "painterly" and rather difficult to achieve in an image with so few components. The photographer is to be congratulated on the ability to make less into more.

Aptly named, as dreams are an opening of the mind through darkness, and the dark frame is what draws the eye into this image. The open glass which covers a portion of the focal point also adds to the mystery and increases interest. The photographer has expertly put many geometrical elements into play, and made them one cohesive and very pleasing image. Well done.

A bench is a bench is a bench.... UNLESS it is perched in front of a dark and aging stone building, painted with the energy of the sun, and exists of curves and lines that have an exaggerated sense of perspective, and is such a strong focal point of the composition that it demands a closer look. This is striking and so well done as to earn the title "art" . Excellent!

There are many excellent elements to this photograph. Unfortunately many of them are concentrated on one side of the photo, making it unbalanced. I would go back to the same place, and re-position myself so that the brick wall on the right is not in the frame. It is a bit overbearing, and the picture deserves to shine, as it could with the branches overhead, and the reflective qualities of the rigid architecture on the ever-mobile water. Your concept is good, but there's just an element or two in your way.

An excellent blending with near to perfect composition in regard to form. I appreciate the fact that all three eyes are not looking directly into the camera as it adds a bit of humility to the overall presentation. The color has a richness that is rather striking. All in all a very well done ! A closer crop may add impact and intensity to the striking eye contact.
