I love watching seabirds dive, and being from Australia it was especially weird to see a pelican doing this manoeuvre, as our Aussie Pelican never does, only feeding by trawling, often working as a team, from the surface! You did well to get much of the bird in focus and freeze a powerful move. I wonder if perhaps a polariser could have helped remove some of the background glare? Cheers, Alice.

Awesome capture my friend,
How often do you see the spoonbill's?
When is the best time to see them in their breeding plumage ?
I will guess April.
Take care and keep them coming.
