Great tones and contrast. This is an interesting composition. On one hand it is incorrect by cropping off her feet. On the other hand it makes for an interesting look. The way the dress barely touches the bottom of the frame and the out of focus backgroun makes it appear as if she is floating.

I agree! The photo needs some work on the right hand side. Use a photo editor to soften, even perhaps remove the hard line around the cheek area which looks to be a highlighted area. It should like more like the left side of the portarait's neck. Nice composition though!

Nice portarait. I think you've made a nice composition by crop the face, but I think it needs some work on the right hand side. I don't know if you have photoshop, but if you do, perhaps just a gentle blur brush along the edge of the cheek just to soften it a little. Perhaps on the neck you could zoom in a bit and remove a little more of the background left along the edge, the use the blur tool again. And you could use a bit of unsharp mask on the general image. Nice portrait though!

the shot is perfect, but I think that more attention would be given to the face it his face was on the right side of the frame...other than that, great shot.

looks like a member of the fifth moroccan skirmishers to me.
nicely done and i think the only improvement i can suggest is to perhaps sharpen it just a little bit more. i'd like to see more the colourful headgear as well.
