Very good, Cari! I like the light catching the heron - likely reflected from the water.

That's a great idea for a photo - well seen. You managed to hold detail in both shadows and highlights. Congratulations!

Cari, I like this one very much. The gesture seems like a bow to an imagined audience. the positioning is perfect as is the shadow. very clear and sharp.

Cari, you can upload a lower resolution photo of the original as an attachment to a comment. This does not count against your daily quota.

I would have liked to upload both of them..but with the one a day restriction I am presently under that was impossible.

Photoart is not for everyone. I myself am just getting used to it. I had fun playing with this image however.

Thanks for your thoughts!

It is a very intersting leave with nice colours but the plane of focus appears to be slightly in front of the subject.

Hi Cari, looks like ghost train! It is a neat graphic effect. My impression is that the original straight photograph would also be interesting.

Cari, nontheless, the snow field on the mountain is an important part your composition. A little more would not hurt, yet I would not like too much.

Thank you very much. On another board there has been disscusion on whether or not I should have captured the tops of the trees. Some feel it is distracting, others feel to have all of the mountains might have taken away from the true focus which were the trees. As we know, everyone has a different eye.

I was there late in the day one Sat. afternoon. We were trying to go to Bridal Falls but upon discovering they were closed we turned around and ended up at the wetlands by chance! The sun was just setting and I could have spent much more time shooting, but my young family was with me so I had to move on.

Thank you for your thoughts. Josie told me yesterday that the bug on your finger was a ladybug! Wow, you captured it at such a time that it made it look like a whole different type of insect. That shot is one of my favorites of yours.

Cari, I've photographed a fair bit at the Cheam Wetlands, yet my eye never caught a similar perspective. I like this very much - the contrast between the sunlight on the trees/reflections, the mountainside in the shade and the new snow at the upper levels. Well done!

Matt ~ Small world eh? Have you been to the Cheam Lake Wetlands before? I just found the place and it was very beautiful.
