Oh, Al, this is a wonderful photo!
This brings back great memories. We were in NYC in '91 - stayed at the Vista International hotel at the World Trade Centre. We went to the top of one of the towers - I'll never forget the view!
A fantastic night photo!

The beautiful twin towers..abd I see them near the tragic anniversary..
This is a beautiful night cityscape..a great long exposure..i love the effect on the water..

Hi Al, wonderful floral macro..perfect aperture to blur the background..I like so much the colors and the 'copy' of the flowers in the background..great mirror simmetry..very well composed..

Intriguing . . . Dark and moody . . . almost stark. And yet, this is the California coast . . . filled with life and color in reality. Amazing how much of a mood can be created with color . . . or the lack of it. Half of my Pacific Focus shot was similar to this . . . focused foreground and a blurred Pacific Ocean. And yet our shots, though similar, could be polar opposites . . . Yellow flowers in bloom with green grass . . . versus an image with none of the warm summer-like hope.
I'm fascinated with this one Al . . . but mostly with the power of B&W to convey emotive responses.
