IT came close to us because Michael (Trembath) put some crumbs on his knee, and in public places like this these birds get very, very confident.
In answer to your other question, er....I'm pretty sure you can't teach these birds to speak (or rather no one has tried) and I've never seen them in cages at all, but who knows what's possible!

Nice crop Nadia, how did you manage to get so close? Are these the birds that people have in cages because you can teach them to speak words? Good angle you caught here, the eyes are quite intense and it's lovely and sharp!
