Tom -- I like the lighting in this shot. Same scene w/out those golden rays slipping through would still be a good shot, just not great. This is a great shot. Well done.

James -thanks for your comments. This photo was taken at my favorite time of day; about 30 minutes before sundown, hence the golden tones. Exposure was 1.6 sec at f22.

think it's a great pic, relaxing place, good water movement.

Nicely captured Tom, very elegant and serene. I really like the lighting. The overall shaded are helps with proper exposure, but the slight rays of light add some character to the shot. I think that it works nicely in your image. Congrats...

i think the lighting is alright, perhaps could use a little more. i would have tried to step back a little to include more of the falls on the left hand side. what was your shutter speed, and what time of day was it? very early or very late? james

This is a great shot. I love how the light shines through and bounces off the water. The darker colors everywhere else make the light area even more interesting.
Beautiful work!

You handled a tricky lighting situation very well. Dappled light is difficult to capture without blowing out the hightlights or losing the midtones and shadows. Lovely balance on this exposure! Congrats,
Melissa
