Dave. Thank you for your comment on this photo. Your monitor is working fine. I made the print a little dark to take away from the background. Shutter speed is correct. We were drifting along side the orca which was not moving very fast. It has just come up to the surface when the picture was taken. Take care...Brian

Wow, what a shot.... Are you sure about the shutter speed? It seems remarkably sharp for an image that was of a moving object and possibly hand-held at the extreme end of a telephoto range. This is a great image, I hope you have it on a wall somewhere.
I think I need to calibrate my moniter -- your images all seem a little dark.
I saw your notes about Edmonton, and also the coast. I miss them both as well.

Nice capture, I visited Victoria Islands and hoped for a shot of a Orca but didn't get a chance.
I understand that they can ruin a Salmon fishing trip real fast.

A very beautiful and technical shot (follows rule of thirds very well). I would make it brighter though with photoshop.
