yeah, I find myself thinking abt these things too debbie....what look shud I go for with water and all......well, in this case, I used f/32 to get a good depth of field and that necessiated large shutter speed....DOF dictated my choice... I bracketed but even the smallest shutter speed used make the water go silken soft....  )

This is a very strange looking creek bed. I can see the running water on both streams...I'm just wondering tho if you should have used a faster shutter speed to make the water a little more bubbly? See I'm still confused which way to go with water on the f/scale or shutter speed:)I'm hoping one or two of our experters:) look at this post and comments on what would help with the water in this image. Because JMO I would like to see the water a little more bubbly.
