Michael,

I first sugest you get a book for the Gorge area, there is alot to see. I would take the Ainsworth State Park Exit off of I-84 and follow the old scenic Hwy until it hooks back up with I-84 just east of Troutdale. There are multiple water falls along the way and you pass the biggest of the state Multnomah Falls. If you are heading south from Astoria I sugest taking Hwy 101 along the beach. Be sure to have time to head over to Crater Lake as well.

Andrew -- I like shooting waterfalls. This is a nice capture. I like the perspective on this shot. Good composition. I've never been to this region but will be passing through later this month on my way to the Astoria area (and points South). I will be spending a day in the Hood River area. Any suggestions?
