Alright! Alright! I'm doing community service at a library this summer. I'll check out some books. I promise.

I see what you mean though. The photo just isn't balanced right.

Well, you don't HAVE TO use the law of thirds but centered doesn't work IMO. Look at my "Inside the Pyramid". I centered that cause the lines are the same on each side so it's balance. The lines aren't balanced on the cage. You know, a lot of this has to do with it "feeling right" - it's not like math where there are absolutes. You always have to go for balance (like "Blinds"). Get your camera and move it around the cage and shoot when it FEELS right through the viewfinder. This is so hard to convey in type. It's all about visual balance and feeling right...... That's the best I can do for right now. I gotta put some new stuff up (don't forget "7" x 3 hahaha) GO GET A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY BOOK DOWNTOWN !!! STUDY THE SHOTS !!! NO EXCUSES - SCHOOLS OUT !!!

I saw one of the footages, but I didn't see that part. Ha! That's so funny.

...

I don't understand why I have to use the law of thirds in this photo? Why can't I keep it in the centre?

Now see I wouldn't have put the corner right in the center. Law of thirds on this one. Put the corner 2/3 rd's over to the right and let the long side show (fill in the 66% of the space.) Then I would go B / W on this one. You have to make it an abstract all about the lines (steel rod structure) of the cage. That Michael Bubbles still has your head spinning, oui? Hey, did you see that news footage of Tommy Cruise being interviewed in London at the premiere of his new stupid movie (War of the Worlds) and the interviewer has his mic set up to squirt water? You GOTTA see this....... Gotta hand it the Tomster, he keeps his cool but.....barely.... An instant classic ! (I did like him in "Colateral" - great film by Michael Mann. Same guy who made "Heat" with Pacino and DeNiro) Your friendly Movie Reviewer......
