About	The landmark of Bukittinggi,West Sumatra,Indonesia is a clock tower,its own big ben. It is called "Jam Gadang". (Big Clock in the lokal languange of the Minangkabau people). The Dutch queen gave it as a present to the city,at the time still called Fort de Kock, after the fortress in the center of the city in 1926. It was constructed by the Dutch, but the design is local. The Minangkabau changed the roof several times over the years.

Hi Amalia,
Nice clear photo.
I especially like the way you have explained the history of the shot. I know that it is said that pictures can stand on their own, but I find this site more interesting when some kind of explanations go into the "about section" This explanation can be technical or historical or humorous or all three.
