Another brilliant capture George... love how you can see through the front gateway.. excellent clarity in this shot.
Dunstanburgh is one of my fav castles in the North East... guess thats just the romantic side of me comeing out.. lol.
It's a beautiful place, not just for the castle but also the view... excellent place to watch the sun rise over the ocean.
Keep well & Bright Sue xx

Superbe vue de ce vieux château aux meurtrières meurtries; on se croierait dans un film où une bande de vieux guerriers écossais se réfugient, pourchassés par je ne sais qui. Beaux détails dans les dunes aussi. drilan

oh, nice old architecture; the light seems to be strong enough to consider a full sun day; please consider a sunset around this if you can

without anything else around it feels so grand and I have a tendency to see it in it's glory. a grand demolition of time and man.

Hi George, Nice shot of this dramatic ruin. Its amazing that the corner columns still stand! A testament to Northumbrian masons! Regards, Omar

Thanks. I'll check 'em out. I won't be getting back there this year. We're headed for Ireland, but maybe next time. We did enjoy our driving tour. --g

Look forward to seeing the other pictures. Have you seen the portfolio of Mark Evans 75513 and Sue 80683, both from the north east of England?

Paul, I posted this specifically in the hopes that you hadn't been there yet. It's a few hundred meters or so from Craster. I hope to get back there one day when I can spend a bit more time. I have a couple of other shots from the site that I might show here as well. --g

The yellow foliage really brings this to life, looks like an interesting place for a few days photography. Thanks for showing me yet another place I haven't visited in this country, the list is getting longer...
