Thanks for your comments. I took a great deal of the time with the cropping of this shot. It seemed unusually challenging, and this was the best I could come up with. Rotating the image is a good idea, though. I have done it before a few times but never with an animate subject--only with landscapes and buildings. I might just give this one a try. The picture does rather play with one's perceptions as is (a good thing), and so it might be interesting to take it one more step. Regards --George Regards --George

Great work, minimalistic and purely artistic. I also find the near-monochrome of this scene very appealing and soothening. You must be a lover of nature I can tell!
Have you thought about cropping the photo, keeping only the reflection of the bird and rotate it (180 )??
I do not mean it would be better this way, I mean only that it would be interesting to view the image this way also. I love reflections...

I think one of the things that really makes the shot in this case is the limited amount of colour involved. Just a nice crisp background of a few shades of brown, really help the subject come alive. If only the water had been a little calmer.

George, The image is ideal to try other posibilities. You should work with your photoshop and look for something different and amusing. Do it! Miguel
