About The blossom is starting to "spring" out on the tree in our garden so I braved the biting weather and lumped the tripod out. I managed to find a bloom that I could angle into a diagonal composition and use the irregular branches as the background.

Camera settings: Camera set to macro, white balance to daylight, ISO to 64 and compression set to minimum.

Really very nice. I love the background, too, looks like the persisting snow.

Thanks Margaret they were a wonderful subtle shade of pink but the problem with blossom is one breath of wind and it's gone.

Lovely composition, pretty colour, and how nice to see Spring is trying hard to establish itself
