I have used the competition, but nothing quite feels like the Pentax to me! It feels very solid, is great value for money (*ist DS), I love it.

Very well done Dominique! Clean and soft tones... just a question: some comments on your *ist-D? I might buy a *ist-DS so I was wondering whether it's a good/satisfying model :-)

Beautiful capture and softness, Dominique. I'd suggest you not to use those frames, though.
Welcome to UF, this is a nice way of surfing the internet!
Thanks for your nice comment at my "We're Jamming".
All the best

Thank you for your warm welcome Peta - I absolutely love your work. I have often looked through your portfolio with Heath - am glad to be a part of Usefilm in my own right now :)

Thank you for your welcome David - this child is my nephew, but I love him as my own. Cheers Dominique

You are absolutely right Marcy - please look at my reply to Bruce and the new frame suggestion. Thank you for your comment :)

Bruce you are quite correct - I wasn't so sure about the frame myself, but thought to give it a go... My good friend Heath also on Usefilm uses my preference in framing and I guess I wanted to differentiate my work from his! Perhaps I will stick to some thing simpler though. Thank you for your comment :)

gloriously bright and clear. Dislike the framing however- it distracts from a near perfectly exposed image.

Fantastic angle and beautiful depth of field. The eyes are so crystal clear :) Lovely.

I know Dom personally - and the frame is just the designer in her - taking it the extra step. It is different - and I praise her for doing something that I haven't seen here before.

Great to see you fianlly make a start Dom! And a great start indeed. The frame is a nice touch, but it seems irrelevant when there is a photo as superb as this to talk about instead. Fantastic exposure. The skin tones are amazing, maxed out without blowing out. Perfect!

Dominique,
Those eyes are transcendant - I see what you mean by your title! I agree with some other comments, that the border isn't probably the one I would have chosen. Angle, lighting, and focus are just right.

I'm glad you found Usefilm - I'm a newby too and I love it! Amy

Not convinced by the shape of the photo, but the actual image is really nice. Great detail, nice catchlights and nice use of DOF. Very well done.

Just checked your portfolio and seen its your first post here. Welcome to Usefilm and hope to see plenty more from you as time goes on.

I love this shot, although I am not too fond of the border you have selected. I like your choice of angle. Nice work!
