Great!!There are 2 eyes hidden in the clouds, and the middle mountain range provides the mouth and chin. Or maybe that's just my imagination. :)

Thanks for your comments John! I'd been shooting about a half mile away and on the ride back the clouds finally broke and let enough light down on the scene...luck as it were. The film is infra red, Macophot IR 820c...not gulp as I wrote from a mindlapse hence the washed out appearance on the right hand side....trying to split the dif for sake of contrast in the blacks.

Hi Thomas: Thanks for your comments...in answer to your question, yes it is infra red and GULP is what happens when I zoned and forgot the film name...so...its MacoPhot IR 820c Infra red film, 120 format. Thanks for noticing! By the way I had a look at your work and it's terrific, a great b&w portfolio, wonderful composition and light that makes b&w so great for expressing a mood. congrats!

The image is magnificent! I am curious how long you waited to get this shot, or if you happened upon it? I would try to burn the pines in the lower right hand section; they are just a little washed out. Other wise a terrific image!
