Thank you for your thoughtful observation. This was going to be a commonplace holiday shot of a group of native dancers on a South Sea island, when I became aware of the clearness of the gaze of the boy in the middle. I am glad that I was able to capture some of its intensity. What his dream was I do not know, but he was looking through me at something distant.

This is really intriguing! Makes me want to know more about what was going on. I love how you captured a different expression on each child's face. The boy in the middle looks so "grown up", or at least he seems to think he is. I think that may say something about his life. I really like this photo, very interesting.
