thank you, Jorg. What a gift to be credited in your comments. I was browsing through your portfolio last night & clicked on many of your more recent shots but, for some strange reason, not this one. I was really drawn to this new work of yours because i find it interesting to get so up-close-&-personal with flowers. It's amazing the detail & movement we can discover there. You've created some very striking & beautiful shots - strong compositions & a lovely eye for detail. Really well done.
I'm glad to hear you had a good trip out to BC - there's so much to see & discover here & afer living a good part of my life here on the coast, i still am not tired of it.

This has a look of the flower stamens reaching up to the sky...the sky being the blossom petals themselves, the effect created by the DOF and cloudlike look of them. Really nice image. (I might crop off a portion from the left as to me, the lower corner is a little distracting) Good work.

The picture "up stairs" was taken with the sunlight comming through a large window behind me. The location: inside a opera house...
