Fern your images are a delight. Acute and intimate observations of the textures and colours around us.I am glad you commented on my Stones as it enabled me to come and see your work. And yes... I have used embroidery and beads.. see attached example which was printed on Lysonic Standard Fine Art paper. Isnt it wonderful where we can now go with the aid of computers.

because of the way you've framed this photograph, it reminds me of hyperrealist artists like alex colville and chistopher pratt. great innovative idea.

fern, very cool! it's like looking out through windows in a darkened house. which makes the view all the more enthraling and at the same time disconcerting. makes this shot very surreal. well done!

I don't really see this as a frame as much as two pictures on a black background, which I think is a very nice presentation. I love the gradation from dark to light, and the little silvery ripples in the sand.

Interesting abstract - normally I hate added frames but this one really makes the picture what it is. I also like the subtle colours. Very nice.
