About A closeup of the mother fox who frequents our garden. Taken with the Sigma 70-300mm @ 135mm, f5, 1/160, ISO 500, in the evening.

I love this animal, and all the more for the way she makes me work for my shots of her

If she would have only smiled, you would have the prefect image(;-))

She's a little wary, but thats nice because you captured that feeling in the image. If I had to critisize, then it would have to be the way her back goes out of frame. A lower angle would keep all of her in shot. Also only having one front leg in the scene sort of unbalances her.

I do however like the details in the face and fur. Keep at it and show us more of her.

Wow, Megan you are really getting in close. She must be getting to like you and that you will cause her no harm. Great portrait of your friend. Don.

Amazing picture! Is it reallly that eh.. un-shy (sorry, don't know the word).
What sharpness!

I think the strenght of this pic lies in the face and eyes which have good colouring light and catchlights in the eyes. However my first impression from the thumbnail was it a cut and paste job, which i feel now it is not, but wonder if it has been oversharpened and if this is the case would of contributed to the loss of detail in the white areas as well as overexposure. Also with no sense of movement in the picture i find the fox having only one leg visable detracts from my enjoyment of this picture.

Good composition here and great eye contact. Looks like she's on the prowl. The head is in focus except for the white bits around the face. Looks abit overexposed.

What a beautiful portrait. I use to have foxes living in my garden (when I was living in England), but never got them on film. Beautiful colour and contrast.

Regards,
Ciprian
