About	This is an 8 year old friend of mine, a dear little girl I've known most of her life, on a fishing trip this week. This trip the fish got lucky, and we got skunked. This was taken at dusk on the Colorado River, using a Nikon CoolPix 4500 with the Best Shot Selector (BSS) function enabled. I'm concerned about the autofocus function, as it seems to have locked on to the water, rather than the subject of the photo. Any suggestions as to how better control the focus on this model better would be very welcome.

Roger:
This is a great silhouette - good subject matter and the composition is nicely done! I use a Nikon - but not that model. You should be able to select the focal point even on auto-focus; though you may have to read the book, even if online. Other than that, set it on manual focus maybe.
