You have some thoughtful work here and on your web site. Toning definitely suits the image. I like the sharp perspective, with the implicit seediness contrasted against a big empty sky. These sign photos are fun, a bit of a tour through the land of lost weekends. :) Only thing perhaps to try would be including all of the sign (as attached)? But maybe the asymmetry of your original strengthens a feeling of awkwardness? Not sure the scan and/or rescaling has done you original print justice though? Just my 1 cents worth.
