My opinions: It would have been nice for the light to have fallen on the middle and right sections of the dome rather than only the right. I should have stood more to the left so the trees didn't cover the building so much. It's all bit cliched..really not very original. Nonetheless, I like it!
Excellent shot of the Radcliffe. I do agree with your comment on the light, but I do believe the leafs break the photo nicely; a quite obscured, but none the less well balanced shot. The light on the leafs in the foreground works nicely. I've tried to capture the Camera on several occasions, but did not find this angle (Taken from the ally towards Queens street?). Last autumn in Oxford was absolutely stunning. Attached my even less original shot, taken last autumn.
I like it too Sam, I think you pretty much know how else to shoot this next time. For now, and with this shot, may be worth you cropping a bit off the foreground (getting rid of the strong black) and sepia toning the image will give a different look? The composition is nice with the branch framing.
