Interesting colors and textures, the back part of the photo seems a bit to busy to me, it draws my eye away some. I might experiment with some cropping there.

This is a great subject of course, but you also found good light to photograph it in. One could lop off a little bit of the top and be left with only the waves of the dunes (?) or hills, turning this into more of an abstract photo.

This place is in Mauritius. This is a naturally occured phenomenon. The earth is composed of mineral rich volcanic ash. You can find seven colours here: red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow.
