About A refinement of the idea from my previous post, \"Pacific (I)\"

Using the sun as a compositional element to balance the weight of the composition.

Two ND grads (one against horizon, one angled across the sun) used to darken skies and avoid blow-outs.

Beatiful image, the light and mood are too good to be true, ahhhhhhhh. Begs for a little more foreground space though for the waves to move into and the rocks to breathe. Sizing issue, 640 wide max, 480 high max (ie vertical shots that you'd love to have big are still 480 high at the largest, period, sad but true)

Hey Steve. Nice shot once again. I agree with Kenneth though, that yesterdays post had a bit more going for it. The direction of the waves for instance almost seems cut off in my opinion. Your other one had more of a continous flow. Also more light helped it. Now, if you did not post that one yesterday, I would really like this one even more. It is a great shot.

argh. I sized it too large and usefilm scaled it down again and lost some quality. Here's what I *meant* to post:

Not that it would change Kenneth's comment at all since the composition is the same! Thanks for the comment, Kenneth.

This one has a lot of the same qualities the other one has. Good colours, mood, and techniques. But it doesn't work as well for me in terms of the composition. Somehow the rock on the right seems not whole. Or perhaps its shape and size doesn't quite balance the sun. Try adding a person in there. Set up the shot, grab the remote and walk out to the edge. The size of a person silhouette would better balance the sun, in addition to adding a sense of perspective and increasing the saleability of the shot.
